Great News for Quantum Enthusiasts: DFG to Fully Fund “northPole” Project with 3.5 M€

We are excited to share that the DFG will fully fund the “northPole” project, submitted by Prof. Jan-Bernd Hövener (Principal Investigator in project 7, miTarget) and colleagues under last year’s call “Clinical Hyperpolarisers for Advanced Metabolic Magnetic Resonance Imaging” (DFG announcement). The proposal was rated best and fully funded.

The “northPole” project will support Prof. Hövener and his team in establishing and evaluating quantum-enhanced metabolic MRI in humans—potentially making Kiel the first site in Germany to offer this technology in humans.
