Dr. Aya Mahdy Wins 1st Prize at AGD Meeting in Bonn
We are delighted to announce that Dr. Aya Mahdy from the IKMB and associated postdoctoral researcher in P1 was awarded the First Prize for best poster presentation at the joint Annual Meeting of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Gendiagnostik (AGD) and the Next Generation Sequencing Competence Network (NGS-CN), held on 10–11 October 2025 in Bonn, Germany.
This meeting brings together leading experts in genetic diagnostics, genomics, and next-generation sequencing from across Germany and beyond. The NGS-CN is a DFG-funded national network coordinating state-of-the-art sequencing services across competence centers, including Kiel, Tübingen, Dresden, and the West German Genome Center.
Congratulations to Dr. Mahdy on this outstanding achievement, which highlights both her excellent scientific work and the strength of the IKMB’s and miTarget’s contributions to genomic research.
