Stephan Maurus-Schneiders is doctoral researcher of project 1 in the group of Petra Bacher. He received his Bachelor and Master degree in Molecular Biology and Physiology from University of Greifswald. Before he joined IKMB he worked as project assistant at the Institute of Infection and Global Health in Liverpool and the Biomedical Center in Uppsala.
Special fields:
His previous research was mainly focused on the immune response during pneumococcal infections. Additionally he also investigated the virulence plasmid copy number dynamics of Yersinia in different infection phases.
