International SYSCID Symposium 2022

“Multi-omics of Chronic Inflammatory Diseases. From molecular signatures to novel clinical diagnostics”

From 29-30 August 2022 the SYSCID team will host the international symposium “Multi-omics of Chronic Inflammatory Diseases. From molecular signatures to novel clinical diagnostics” in Kiel, Germany.

The 1 ½ day symposium will feature a number of high-class talks covering topics such as emerging technologies, integrated multi-omics of large human cohorts or clinical epigenomics and inflammation.

Programme

As part of the SYSCID Symposium there will be a poster session and a series of Rapid Fire Talks (i.e. succinct 5-minutes talks) aimed at young scientists with research experience at the late phase of their PhD studies as well as at the medical specialist or post-doc levels (or an equivalent academic training). Everyone submitting an abstract will have the opportunity to present a poster. In addition, out of all submissions, ten Rapid Fire Talks in total will be selected.

For those researchers selected for a talk, accommodation and travel costs will be covered by the SYSCID project. The travel award will entail the participation in the SYSCID Symposium as well as in a summer school from 30 to 31 August 2022, directly following the SYSCID Symposium. The summer course will include a lab tour of the facilities at the Institute of Clinical Molecular Biology (IKMB), Kiel University alongside a training module (seminar/demonstration/hands on) in single cell data analysis and integration with other data layers.
